Why Therapeutic Adventure?

Therapeutic Adventure Programs use activities with perceived risk to allow self-exploration and growth to occur. It’s the perceived risk that forces participants to fully engage in the activity and the challenge at hand. Everything else in their lives momentarily fades away. For the first time in a long time, the overwhelming weight of their personal issues is lifted. They are living in the moment, having fun, and in other-words recharging. After the activity is done, participants are in a healthy frame of mind to recognize their achievement for that day and relate it to their everyday life.

Our qualified staff run debriefing sessions before and after each activity to ensure these connections are made. This gives a chance for participants to have a guided thought process, while ultimately making these empowering connections on their own.
